Pilsen is a neighborhood on Chicago’s Near Westside, a quick el train ride from its downtown district.

It is the heartbeat of the Windy City’s art scene. A proving ground for artists and bohemian types, bustling with energy. Where you can see outdoor Chicano art blending with post-modern art, bringing into play a cross-pollination of ideas and aesthetic possibilities.

For over 100 years, it was Chicago’s “Ellis Island.” An entry point for Czech, German, Polish and Mexican immigrants who came to the U.S. looking for the American Dream. The neighborhood is still predominantly Latino, but it continues to evolve as it welcomes newcomers who contribute to Pilsen’s role as a part of Chicago’s vibrant legacy.
